While there’s an abundance of streaming platforms to choose from, the pioneer and still one of the most beloved is Netflix. With its vast selection of movies, TV series, and documentaries, it continues to be a favorite entertainment source for countless homes. But let’s face it, the monthly subscription fee can pile up to a hefty expense over time. The silver lining? There are ways you can enjoy Netflix for free.

Free Netflix may seem elusive, but options do exist. (And there are even more ways to save on Netflix.) Allow us to introduce you to some regular promotions and discounts that can potentially erase Netflix from your budget line items.

T-Mobile Subscribers, Get Netflix Free

Did you know that T-Mobile provides a free Netflix subscription with their Magenta and Magenta Max plans? True story! If you’re a T-Mobile customer on either of these plans, simply visit your “Add-Ons” page on your T-Mobile profile to kick off your free Netflix journey.

For Magenta plan holders, you’ll receive the basic Netflix subscription, whereas Magenta Max subscribers will get the standard Netflix subscription. In the United States, Comcast Xfinity customers have an option to choose a package inclusive of a Netflix subscription. They can activate this package by connecting it with their Netflix account, whether it’s new or existing.

Snag a Discounted Netflix Gift Card at Target

Target boasts a broad selection of gift cards, and if you own the Target RedCard (their branded debit card), you can enjoy a 5% discount on all their offerings, including those gift cards.

If you opt for an ad-supported Netflix account, which costs $6.99/month, your gift card can cover 14 months of your subscription. Since you shelled out only $95 for $100 worth of credit, it’s akin to getting the 14th month free. The online gift card reseller Raise.com also stocks Netflix gift cards, though the best discount observed was 4.8%.

Join a Friend or Family Member’s Netflix Account

Most Netflix subscriptions permit multiple users who can stream various content simultaneously. Therefore, if you know someone who owns a Netflix account and they’re amiable to it, you could be added to their account as an approved secondary user.

This arrangement works best if you reside in the same household, or at least visit the primary account holder’s residence at least once every 31 days. This is important as Netflix is starting to clamp down on account-sharing and will soon start charging an additional fee ($8/month) for users not sharing the same physical location.
